The world’s largest capacity micro SD title no longer belongs to SanDisk’s 400GB card. To meet the increasing needs of the capacity in mobile devices, Integral Memory comes breaking all the previous records with its 512GB micro SD.
However, SanDisk’s 400GB card is faster at 100MBPS when compared to Integral Memory’s new 512GB microSDXC UHS-I U1card at 80MBPS.
The card is designed to create more storage for all compatible smartphones, tablets, digital cameras, action cams, drones, and camcorders. Also, the nearly half terabyte storage card meets the Video Speed Class 10 (V10) standard i.e, it is capable of capturing full HD videos off cameras and ensures fast transfer of data.
Though the company initially had doubts over the increasing use of cloud-based storage by the people, they developed the 512GB due to popularity of the photo and video sharing apps such as Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook which require higher storage capacity on mobiles. Moreover, choosing a storage device is rather a better option than buying a new smartphone for consumers.
Although the price of the storage device isn’t mentioned yet, as far as it is concerned it would be more than SanDisk’s 400GB card which is currently selling at a price of $250. The 512GB microSD will be available to the consumers from February 2018 and it comes with a 5-year warranty from the company.
