After learning basics about Layout option in Introduction to Blogger Dashboard, I am here with the advanced options in Layout option which helps to add Widgets on Sidebar and Footer of your Blog.
Firstly, Basics of HTML must be learnt perfectly. If not, read How to EDIT HTML and Come again to add widgets on Sidebar and Footer.
Sidebar :
Some templates have 2 sidebars and some have 1 sidebar (depends on the number of columns your template has). So inserting widgets to sidebar is very important because all the widgets such as Advertisement Banners, Facebook like box, Google plus follow, Twitter embedded, Popular posts, and many more are mostly placed on the sidebar.
You can see Add a Gadget option on the top of the sidebar where you can add many widgets. Most of them are provided by blogger itself. You can add the following widgets by using Add a Gadget. Some of them are listed below. Choose the required one out of 28 and use it to your site. If you want any custom widget such as Advertising Banners, Sticky photos, Logos etc, get the desired HTML code and paste that to the Edit HTML/Javascript widget which was given in Default Gadget. You can even add a Text Matter to your footer by just writing the matter and pasting it to the Text box.

Footer :
A 3 or 4 Column footer is best recommended for any template for legibility and a creative, professional look. At the end of Footer, a copyright text must be enabled which can be edited in HTML in template editing.
Now, i will show you how to add Link post at Footer
Click on Add Gadget in footer option which result in pop up box. Check for Link List option and Click on + option
You can see the window where you can Configure the Link List. You can Make Related post option using this Link List option. All you need is to fill in the details as given and Click on Add Link and Save it.
