Few Pixel 2 XL Phones of Google were Delivered Without Android OS

It looks like All is not well for Google’s Pixel 2 XL smartphones. The second generation smartphone of Google has already got some negative reviews even before it landed into the hands of users for the screen burn-in issues, high-frequency noises and poor quality audio recordings on 4K videos. Now that the shipping of Pixel 2 phones started, few buyers complained that their Pixel 2 XL handset didn’t come with an Android OS when delivered to them.

Without an Android OS, the devices can not start and are unusable. This issue was first reported by a Reddit user saying, “I came home excited to unbox my new Pixel 2 XL. Upon turning on the device I was greeted with a black screen stating, ‘Can’t find valid operating system. The device will not start.’ Spent an hour on the chat with two different customer service reps and they are wanting to send me a replacement phone. Really frustrating.”

Google said it is totally aware of the problem and the company solved the issue according to a report by androidpolice. It is presumed that it was a manufacturing defect and that has since been corrected.

In case, if you have received Pixel 2 XL without an OS, contact customer support of Google to exchange it because you cannot install an OS on the device and its the only solution to the problem.

Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are 5″ and 6″ phones with high-resolution OLED display, highest rated smartphone camera, unlimited storage to photos and videos. The 64GB pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will be available at a price of $649 and $849 respectively.
