New Updates In QuickBooks Desktop 2019

QuickBooks is the accounting software that is known for its features and functionality. QuickBooks Desktop 2019 is the version of this software that is full of features and enhanced functionalities. Invoice History Tracker

The feature inventory history tracker is a part of the QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2019 features. This feature is also available for Premier Accountant 2019 and Enterprise 19.0 version. This feature shows the user “Invoice history information” info.

  • This feature gives you a real-time invoice tracker.
  • It shows the invoice email date and customer name.

  • The date & amount info of the ‘Customer received’ and the date & amount provided for the ‘make a deposit’ captures in QuickBooks.

Activate This Feature:
  • To activate this feature, you need to ‘Create Invoices Window’.
  • After creating that, select ‘See history’ link on the form name.

Credit Transfer Between Jobs of The Customer

This feature is available in QuickBooks Desktop Pro, Premier, Accountant 2019 and Enterprise 19 versions. Using this feature, you can easily apply for customer credits across various jobs of a particular customer. There is a new column section in the “apply credit window that shows the Customer and Job for which the credit is assigned.

Key Aspects:
  • Saves a lot of time.
  • You can apply “Credit memos” across various jobs.
  • In order to avoid any confusion, the automatically created account is listed as ‘Inactive’ on the Chart of Accounts.
Activate This Feature:
  • Open the (the unapplied) credits.
  • After that, go to the main ribbon the displayed ‘Create invoices window’ and select ‘Apply for credits’ option.

Create Bill Payments With Write Checks

This feature is available in QuickBooks Pro, premier, Accountant 2019 and Enterprise 19 versions. Using this feature, you can create bill payments with write checks. This feature allows the user to select ‘Write you Check’ without assigning it to an ‘open vendor bill.’

Key Aspects:
  • Provides visibility to “Unpaid vendor bills”.
  • Helps the user to manage payments efficiently and link their checks with open bills.
  • In order to give quick access, it shows “Open bills” for any specific vendor.
Activate This Feature:

This feature can be activated when the Check for Bills prompt appears while making ‘Write Check for a vendor’:

  • In the Menu bar, select Banking.
  • Click on the ‘Write check’ option.
  • Now, when you are at the ‘Pay to the order of field’ option, then enter the name that has Unpaid bills.

Quick and Easy Upgrade

With this feature, the newest version of the QuickBooks Desktop is just a couple of clicks away. This feature is available in QuickBooks Pro, Premier, and Enterprise 18.

  • He version can be upgraded with two clicks.
  • Upgradation process is automated
  • The data file(s) are included in the ‘No company file’ window.
Activate This Feature:
  • In the Menu bar, select the File option.
  • Next, navigate to Utilities.
  • After that, select ‘Move QuickBooks to another’ option.

Improvement In QuickBooks Desktop 2019

Some important improvements in the existing features of QuickBooks Desktop 2019 are:

 ‘The Employee Pay Adjustment History’ Option

This feature is present in QuickBooks Pro, Premier, Accountant 2019 and Enterprise 18 v maintenance release R3 or the newer. This feature facilitates the user to track the employee pay rates (on an hourly basis, salary, bonus and commission items).

Key Aspects:
  • It can track Payroll items, Salary items, Bonus items, and Commissions items.
  • This feature works in QuickBooks with an active Basic, Enhanced or Assisted payroll subscription.
Activate This Feature:
  • In the Menu bar, select Reports.
  • Then, go to Employees and Payroll.
  • Now, select the ‘Employee pay adjustments history’ option.

Sick and Vacation Pay Tracker

This feature is available for QuickBooks Pro, Premier, Accountant 2019and Enterprise 18 versions along with an enhanced payroll subscription.

Key Aspects:
  • It provides easy and better tracking and reporting of ‘Sick and Vacation’ time.
  • With this feature, you will get the warning when you will save Paycheck exceeding employee’s available sick or vacation time.
  • Along with all that, you will get information about the ‘Accrued, Used and Available sick and vacation time details’ by formatting Paystub.

Activate This Feature:
  • In the menu bar, select Edit > Preferences > Payroll & Employees.
  • Then, select the ‘Payroll and Employees’ option.
  • Next, go to the ‘company preferences’ tab.
  • Now, choose the ‘Sick &Vacation’ option.

Sick Condense Data File feature

This feature is included in QuickBooks Pro, Premier, Accountant 2019 and Enterprise V 19.0.

Key Aspects:
  • It reduces Company file size without deleting any data.
  • It only removes the ‘Audit Trail data’ from the file that is eliminated. This will reduce the file size.
  • The feature has internal optimization of the database.
  • It also cleans up a few performance logs and other technical details as a result of which the file size is decreased by up to 45 percent.
Activate This Feature:
  • In the menu bar, select Accountant
  • Then, select the “Condense Data” option.

From a client’s version of QuickBooks:

  • In the menu bar, select File
  • Next, go to Utilities
  • Then, select Condense Data.
