The Nokia 9 render reveals dual cameras and bezel-less design
After Nokia launched its first flagship phone Nokia 8 ever since its return, the company is working on its next launch of a new flagship model, Nokia 9. An alleged render of the upcoming Nokia 9 flagship has been spotted on Chinese networking website Weibo. The latest image displays the all-screen front of the device with very slim bezels on both the right and left sides, but its top and bottom bezels seem to be a tad thick. The image doesn’t show the Nokia branding and the fingerprint sensor on the front of the handset suggesting that the fingerprint sensor will likely be on the back side.
The HMD Global’s another upcoming entry in the smartphone market, Nokia 9, has been in the news for the last few months. According to earlier rumours, the Nokia 9 will feature an LG 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with quad-HD+ (2K+) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio powered by Snapdragon 835 processor with 4GB or 6GB of RAM instead of the latest Snapdragon 845 SoC which we might see debut with the Galaxy S9.
The smartphone will sport dual rear cameras with 12MP and 13MP sensors as opposed to Nokia 8’s dual 13MP sensors and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera as opposed to the Nokia 8’s 13MP front camera. Coming to the storage options, Nokia 9 seems to be standard with 64GB and 128 GB with a microSD card slot for further expansion. The entire package will be powered by a 3,250mAh battery and it is rumoured to come with an Android Oreo out of the box.
There hasn’t been an official announcement of the launch of Nokia 9 yet, but as the smartphone has passed through FCC, we can expect HMD Global to launch Nokia 9 at CES 2018 or at the Mobile World Congress 2018. However, recent reports indicate that the smartphone could be revealed on January 19th.
