There have been several rumors about OnePlus 6’s launch date and over the past few weeks, the Smartphone lovers have seen a spread in the number of teasers for the OnPlus 6. However, the Chinese Smartphone maker officially announced the launch date on their website and revealed the details of the event. OnePlus 6, the updated flagship Smartphone from the Smartphone makers, is set to be launched on May 17. Thus, this finally puts a rest to the conflicting release dates suggested by different rumors.
OnePlus’ Chinese website currently features an official teaser with the tagline ‘The Speed You Need’ for the OnePlus 6 launch event. The launch event is set for 10 AM local time (or 7.30AM IST) at 751D-Park, Beijing, China. The website further reveals that OnePlus event will be open to the public and fans. The makers need to buy tickets for the launch event, starting April 27 via the OnePlus app.
People who manage to book a ticket will receive an invitation code, a 99 yuan accessory gift card, and many more. Later, the fans can expect OnePlus to continue its tradition and plan events for the OnePlus 6 launch across the globe. This development comes within a week of OnePlus’s exclusive partner Amazon India confirming the OnePlus 6 India launch will be “soon,” and putting up a dedicated web page for the handset.

OnePlus smartphones have been doing great so far because of its high-end hardware and relatively affordable price tag. The OnePlus 6 is confirmed to feature a glass body, different from the all-metal design decorated by the previous flagships. This should also give way for Wireless Charging support, a first for a OnePlus flagship device. It is said that the glass body has been reportedly chosen from 70 prototypes and the final product will feature 5 layers of nanotech coating to give a better feel of depth on the rear glass.
