On Tuesday (September 12), during “Let’s meet at our place” media event held in the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple’s new headquarters in Cupertino, Apple unveiled the tenth-anniversary iPhone, dubbed as iPhone X.
The company harkened the iPhone X arrival with the famous Steve Jobs line, “One more thing” which, as Apple CEO Tim Cook noted at the time, was apt for an announcement as big as the iPhone X.
This new flagship smartphone has a design change in every major way with the iPhone lineup, especially when compared to the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus that were launched alongside iPhone X at the event. Apple is pushing forward with a bezel-less design, portrait lighting, augmented reality (AR), facial recognition, etc. Apple is also introducing animated emojis that you can control with your face.
At the event, the company also unveiled the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and Apple Watch Series 3. There in the middle is the brand new set-top box, the Apple TV 4K, bringing a fifth-generation device to market.
The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus will launch later this month, while the iPhone X will make its debut in November.
