[QuickTip] Link Google Analytics with Google Adsense(Track cpc on posts)

Google Analytics is an awesome product from Google which is used by many Bloggers and Webmasters to track the pageviews and number of visitors to their sites. Most of them don’t know that can also track the Adsense income earned from the blog posts and you can also track the CPC on the individual pages on your site. Here is a simple work around method using which you can track the cpc generated from individual posts on your blog.

Linking Google Analytics with Google Adsense to track CPC

To track the Google Adsense from your Google Analytics account first login into your account and follow these simple steps one by one.

Step 1:

Login into your Google Analytics accounts first.

Step 2:

Click on Admin  as shown in below image.

Step 3:-

Now click on Adsense Linking as shown in below image

Step 4:-

Now Click on Link Accounts. As soon as you click a new window will popup as shown in below image where you are allowed to choose the primary analytic property.If you are using only analytic property on your site then don’t worry it will be automatically selected.

Step 5:-

Now click on Continue. As soon as you click new pop-up window where you will be automatically logged into your Google Analytics account.i.e your Adsense dashboard will be opened. (Note you should have Administrator access to both the Analtuics account and the Google analytic account. If you not having you can’t link that.(Please refer this post on how you can manage user permission)

Step 6:-

Now open the settings by click on the Gear Icon as shown in below image

Step 7:-

Now click on the Google Analytics Integration as shown in below image.

Step 8:-

Now click on the Link button which Google Analytic property you want to link as shown in below image.

That’s it now you are done, you have linked your Google analytics account with Google Adsense.

After linking your account wait for some time  and open your Google Analytics and click on Adsense in Reporting->Behavior as shown in below image.

Here are some Issues that you may encounter while linking.

• You may not get all the reporting of all the pages on which the Google Ads are displayed this is due to not adding the Google analytics code to those pages.
• Finally check whether you linked with right account or not!
