How To Sideload Peacock TV on Firestick

NBC finally released its own streaming service via the Peacock App, however, it appears that this app isn’t availabl on Amazon Firestick/Fire TV. At the moment, NBC Universal and Amazon are in the middle of a money-related squabble, which is why Amazon’s streaming devices were left out.

Fortunately, there’s a way for you to still be able to download and enjoy Peacock. You can install it as a third-party app, otherwise known as sideloading. It definitely takes much longer than just downloading from the official Appstore, but interested users aren’t left with much choice.

If you want to stream a variety of movies and shows on your Firestick via Peacock, then follow our step-by-step guide below. It will take you were you need to go.

How To Sideload Peacock TV on Firestick

A drop-down menu will appear. Tap on the Search option.

Type out Downloader using the on-screen keyboard.

Once you see this page, tap on the app to be redirected to its download page.

Click on the Download button to start.

After waiting a moment, you can go ahead and launch the app.

If it’s your first time using Downloader, this prompt will appear. Click Allow.

This is the Downloader app’s home page. Before we do anything, we need to return to the Firestick’s home screen first.

On the home screen, go to the Settings page. It’s represented by the cog icon on the rightmost section of the screen.

Scroll down to My Fire TV and tap on it.

Select Developer Options.

Tap on Install Unknown Apps.

Ensure that Downloader is turned ON.

Now, we can go ahead and proceed. Return to the Downloader app.

On the search bar, type in the numbers 81035. This is a shortlink that will redirect you to a website where you can directly download the Peacock app.

Download the app from this site.

Wait a few minutes while the file is downloaded into your device.

Once this prompt shows up, tap Install.

Click Install again.

From here, you can go ahead and launch the app by tapping Open.

You’ve successfully installed Peacock TV onto your Firestick. From here, you can either Sign In or Sign Up, depending if you already have an account or not. That being said, you have to restart your Firestick first before you can start watching films or shows.

The Peacock TV app isn’t officially available on Amazon’s Appstore due to some differences between Amazon and NBCU. However, if they do somehow find a way to resolve their issues, there’s a chance that Peacock will be available through official sources. If or when this happens, it’s best that you uninstall this sideloaded app and install the official app instead. It will be easier for you to download the most recent updates this way.

For now, you may enjoy what Peacock TV has to offer! If you run into any trouble when trying to install the app, feel free to refer to this guide.
