- Open WhatsApp app, look for the three-dot menu icon on the top right corner and tap on it.
- You will see a list of options, now tap on Settings.
- Further, tap on the ‘Chats’
- Now uncheck the box- ‘Show media in the gallery.’
Voila! You just got rid of all your photos and videos from your phone’s gallery.
Hide WhatsApp Media Files in iPhone:
- Open WhatsApp app, go to Settings, and then go to ‘Chats.’
- Now turn off the toggle on the ‘Save to Camera Roll’ option.
Butt: Already downloaded media files will still remain in your phone gallery.

Another interesting thing about this new WhatsApp feature is that you can hide a specific person or a particular group’s media files from showing up in your gallery. Just follow these simple steps.

- Open WhatsApp app, open the chat of the specific person or group you want to hide photos/videos.
- Next, tap on the name of the contact or the group.
- Now tap on the ‘Media Visibility‘ option and select ‘No’ and tap on ‘OK’

- Open WhatsApp app, open the chat of the specific person or group you want to hide photos/videos.
- Next, tap on the name of the contact or the group.
- Now tap on the ‘Save Media to Camera Roll’ option and select ‘No.’
Hurry! from now on, photos and videos from that particular contact or group won’t show up in your gallery.
