Though the Dark theme in YoutTube isn’t confirmed on the Android app yet, the feature has already rolled out for the web. And it is slowly rolling out for the iOS users. Only few iPhone and iPad users have started seeing the feature on their devices yet.
As the Dark Theme feature isn’t limited to YouTube Red subscription, any iOS user could use this feature. So, Here’s how to enable the dark mode on YouTube version 13.01.4 and above for iOS device users.
In order to use this feature, your YouTube app must be updated to the latest version.
- Open the YouTube app and tap the profile icon in the top-right corner of the window.
- Select settings from the list of options available.
- Toggle the Dark Theme option available under the YouTube section and right above the Restricted Mode. This will enable the dark theme in the YouTube app.
The procedure is same for the web version and works both on Chrome and Safari.
In case you don’t find the Dark Theme option in the settings, you will have to wait until few days as this is a slow roll out.
