If you are an android or ios smartphone user then you might know how to take a screenshot on your mobile phone. The procedure would vary for different smartphones. For instance, you should press the volume button and power button simultaneously to take a screenshot if you own a one plus handset.

We know that with the inbuilt screenshot feature of our phone we can take screenshots that fit only the size of the screen. But have you ever wished to take a single screenshot which includes all the information of an article or a text conversation? Now taking scrolling screenshots on your android or iOS phones is easy. All you need to do is install an appropriate app according to the OS on your phone. In the below section a list of apps and their usage is provided for Android and iOS users.

Android Users

Stich & Share

This app is for Android users and it is available free in Google play store. Taking scrolling screenshots is easy with Stich & Share. This app provides users with a variety of options. You can combine images or screenshots with this app. It also has an Automatic Capturing feature.

Firstly, open the app and select the ‘Automatic Capturing’ option.

The app’s icon will appear as a small bubble on the screen. Now, go to the app where you would like to take a long screenshot and then click on the bubble.

It will prompt you to scroll 3/4th of the screen. After scrolling, it will capture the image. Make sure that a small portion of the beginning and end of the images are same to make the merging easy.

One drawback of this app is when you take horizontal screenshots the images would be added at the bottom but not horizontally.

iOS Users

Tailor app

If you are an iOS user then download Tailor app to get longer screenshots. This app is available in both paid and free versions.

Tailor app automatically selects the screen shots and merge them. Firstly, take the screenshots you would like to merge and then when you open the app the screenshots you took would be arranged automatically according to the sequence of the screenshots taken. All you need to do is save it.

One drawback of this app is that you do not have the option to select the order of the images. So, you have to take the screenshots carefully in a sequential order. Because if one image is out of the order, you can not change the order of the images and then it would take a lot of time and work.

Android and iOS Users

Stitch it app is easy to use. All you have to do is take the screenshots you would like to merge and then open the app and select the images, arrange them, attach them and then save the final image.
