TrackNet, Inc., a LoRaWAN Internet of Things (IoT) solutions provider developed Tabs, a smart sensor system which is capable of tracking the things you don’t want to lose in the immediate vicinity of your surroundings and also at an extended range, including a feature that tracks your home.
Tabs is a suite of devices managed by a mobile app to locate and monitor valuable stuff and loved ones. The tabs mobile app can also be used to control the time children spend online and also protect them from inappropriate web content with the Wi-Fi parental Controls feature.
The Tabs Home monitoring kits includes a
- Object locator
- Motion sensor
- A Smart button
- Wristband locator
- Door/window sensor
- Healthy home sensor
These home monitoring kits are available starting at $229 (£170/AU$290) on Kickstarter.
Tabs is launched via Kickstarter with the aim of raising $50,000 over the next 40 days. If everything goes well, the shipping will take place in March 2018. Although the features offered by Tabs are similar to the ones offered by Tile and Trackr, it uses long range wide area network which can cover both inside and outside of your home network up to 1-mile reducing the connectivity issues. With the long-range coverage, you can customize the Tabs Wristband Locator to get alerts if your child has made it home from school at right time.
It should also work with Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, and IFTTT in early 2018.
