Apple announced 3 new phones iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 plus at Apple’s Keynote that took place at Steve Jobs Theatre. Well, the star of the show was definitely its new flagship phone iPhone X with iOS 11 operating system, all screen bezel-less design, OLED Screen, Facial Mapping technology. But there are few features of iPhone X that weren’t focused in the event which needs to be discussed.
Here are the 7 things you need to know about iPhone X that needs to be discussed.
1. Charge Your Phone in just 30 minutes
Apple focused on the performance of the phone and didn’t really mention about the battery life of iPhone X. Apple’s iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 plus supports super fast charging. Now your phone gets fully charged within 30 minutes. Even though this fast charging feature is already present in many Android phones, these three phones remain the first Apple’s products with super fast charging feature.
2. True Depth Camera is still 7MP
The front camera is a True Depth camera which uses Face Id, a 3D scanning system to unlock the screen by authenticating a user with their face. It also uses machine learning to adapt to the physical changes of a person over the time. It also uses portrait mode and portrait lighting for taking better pictures.
But one thing it didn’t focus is that all these features are added with the same camera. Yes, the front camera is still 7MP which is same in the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus.
3. Supports HEIF and HEVC for better storage
Now the latest iPhones will support High Efficiency Image Format (HEIF) and High efficiency Video Compression (HEVC) format as promised in the World Wide Developers Conference. Wondering what these new terms are? These formats are used for better compression of the photos and videos so that you won’t run out of storage very soon. Whenever we run out of space on our phones, most of us try to delete unnecessary applications rather than deleting photos or videos. As most of our phones are filled with photos and videos, these formats help the pictures and videos to occupy less space.
4.Supports Galileo- Satellite Positional System
