Introducing Blogger Dashboard Complete Step by Step Reference With Pictures

After Getting into your Blogspot website to a Custom Domain, your site redirects from Blogger site to your domain. Let us consider this as an example www.alltechmedia.blogspot.in to www.alltechmedia.com . Login to your Blogger with your Gmail Account. You are at your blogger Dashboard and Now all your blogs list will display on your screen.

Your Gmail ID Name is displayed with the blogs listing below. At left most, you have the option to Create a New Blog. At Each and Every Blog you create, you can see three options viz., Edit, Go to Post list, View Blog Options. Blogger displays your blog’s total page-views until now, total number of posts, your last published post date, and also followers, Comments awaiting moderating comments below your Title . Check into the Site you wish to continue by clicking on the Blog Name or Click on the Pencil Icon and you will be redirected to a new Dashboard as shown

This Blogger Dashboard has 2 Sections viz., Top Bar and Menu Bar.

Top Bar :

As a part of Dashboard., Top Bar plays the role same as the one which was displayed earlier in the Blog names viz., Edit, Go to Post list, View Blog Options.

Menu Bar :

Menu Bar has many many options in the Left side which includes

  • Overview
  • Posts
  • Pages
  • Comments
  • Google +
  • Stats
  • Earnings
  • Layout
  • Template
  • Settings

Out of which, Posts, Pages, Comments, Stats, Earnings, Settings have many Sub topics which will be discussed below in detail.

Overview :

Overview will show all Details of your blog in detail. It will open by default when you click on a particular blog.  At this overview, you can see your page-view graph on one side and below the graph, you can see the three top traffic sources. You can find many other things under Updates Section such as Comments Awaiting Moderation, Published comments, Page-views Today, Followers of your blog, etc.

Posts:

Once you Click on Post, it will redirect you to All posts, Published posts and Draft posts and it also gives you all other information about your posts such as tags which you add in your Blog post, Author Name, Google + shares, Number of Comments on a Particular Post, Number of page-views of a Particular Post, etc. On top of the Posts Bar, you can see Number of posts in your Blog and some other options such as Delete post, Publish post, Revert to Draft. You can check the number of posts and can operate all actions mentioned above.

Pages:

It will show you all pages of your blog which help you in redirecting such as Contact Us, Privacy Policy, Disclaimer and many more. You can add as many as you want and you can delete any of them.

Comment:

Here in this Comment section, you can see all the comments of your audience. You can also delete them and can reply any one you wish to reply. Blogger will display you all comments in three categories viz., Published, Awaiting Moderation and Spam. Awaiting Moderation is the one which is yet to be verified and then published. Don’t publish any spam comment on your blog and waste your Page Rank.

Google+:

Google + is the Social Networking Site created by Google. In this Menu Bar., by Clicking the Google+ tab, it will help you share your blog to Google plus audience. You can enable the Account and the posts will automatically redirect and publish in your  Account.

Stats:

Stats are nothing but the Data Collection of your site Traffic, Overview, Post Traffic etc. You can see Overview, where you can see the Pageviews today, Yesterday, Last Month, All time history details. Posts include the title name and number of people searched for the post and other details. Traffic Source describes the data a, Audience. Click those options and get the Stats in detail.

Earnings:

Generally making money from a blog is through Google Adsence. Ofcourse, there are many sources which drive you to earn money from blog, Google Adsence is the best way to earn money. Layout:

Layout is very important for the Customization of a blog. One can place any number of Widgets, Advertisements, Forms, Social Media Boxes etc in Layout Form.  You can adjust your blog layout such as add gadget to your blog from here.

Template:

From Template option, you can Customize or Edit HTML the Template of your blog. Template plays a key role in determining the Website. Choose the best template for the website here. Template Option has Live on Blog and Mobile version options where we can access the website for both views.

Settings:

From here you can Adjust or Re adjust the settings of your blog. Here you have five type of Settings which include Basic, Posts and Comments, Mobile and Email, Language and formatting, Search preferences and other. Choose any of them and set up your blog properly.

Basic Option has Title where the name of the Blog is to be specified, Description of your Blog, Privacy, Publishing and Permissions. All this will be clarified in further chapters.
